Private piano lessons in your home for children and adults from a teacher who has helped hundreds of students learn, improve, and succeed with their music goals.
About
Hi, my name is Rebecca. I love teaching piano. I come to your home so you can play on your instrument and not bother with travel time. I help fit it into your busy schedule. Over the past 20 years, I’ve taught students ages 5 – 60+, including special needs children. I teach because I want to, not because I need to. As a result, I’ve seen all kinds of successes in my students’ playing abilities. I have four children of my own who all learned piano and went onto other instruments in high school orchestra and band – including marching and jazz band.
My Teaching Style
I work through a proven individualized curriculum that builds a solid music foundation. I don’t hold recitals or any other high-pressure performances. Instead, we build a foundation, and we work toward your own personal goals – classical, your favorite songs from the radio, or anything else. Playing the piano should be enjoyable and last a lifetime. It’s also an excellent avenue for children to develop maturity and responsibility. If a child is old enough to play, then they are mature enough to take responsibility. This is their lesson. It’s not the parents’ job to practice with them. I also don’t believe in teaching a child before they are ready to learn – I’ll help you decide what and when is right for you and your child and never waste their time or your money.

“Rebecca was the first teacher who make playing the piano fun. She did it by allowing me to pick music I wanted to play. Now, as an adult I still play for enjoyment.”

“Rebecca taught three of my children how to play the piano. They’ve gone on to excel in band with the excellent music foundation piano provides. She’s an excellent, experienced teacher.”

“I like that Rebecca is flexible in her schedule and teaching methods. I’m more of a nontraditional student, learning as an adult, but she’s been an excellent resource to help me learn quickly.”

“We loved Rebecca as our piano teacher! She was fun, engaging, and clearly very qualified. She also has the skill to motivate your kids to practice, while enjoying the process of learning how to play the piano. Something that is difficult to find in most teachers! p.s. one of our kids ended up getting a piano scholarship as an incoming freshman! Thanks Rebecca!!”

Rebecca has customized the teaching methods and materials to suit the way my son learns. She has a great rapport with him, and he really enjoys his lessons and playing the piano. She has encouraged him to be responsible for his practice at home, and while I do remind him about it occasionally, it has never become a battleground. She’s taken my son from a beginner to playing hymns and any popular music that interests him. Thanks, Rebecca!

Taking lessons from Rebecca Fuller has greatly improved my ability to play the music I like and fixed niggling issues that made my piano practice a pain. I had accumulated years of bad piano practice habits that were almost impossible to get rid of, and Rebecca was able to identify solutions through the years that allowed me to fix them and assimilate music quickly. As an adult student she has been able to adapt her lessons that make practice very enjoyable.
